Fundraising – Supports our Awards

Zonta Club of Ottawa, Canada (ZCO CA)

Zonta is a local, nonprofit volunteer organization that focuses on building a better world for women and girls.

The proceeds from our fundraising will support the ZCO’s annual awards and bursaries program for high-school and post-secondary girls and women in the National Capital Region.

The Club offers 8 different awards each spring.

• The awards provide financial assistance for awardees to pursue their studies in several fields, including business and STEM.
• They also provide financial recognition for outstanding commitment to public and humanitarian community service, as well as to the theatre arts.
• Two awards assist mature female undergraduate students who have had to interrupt their studies or formal education for medical, financial or other reasons, and are returning to complete their programs.
• Lastly, the Zonta Club of Ottawa offers an award to a new immigrant woman who is a single mother and is raising a family while working on her education at any level.
